i seem to remember someone email gabe a while ago asking about this, and he said that the performance increase for the few people who actually have 64-bit processors would not justify the amount of work needed.
it's the same case with hyper-threading, i believe.
heh, yeah, i saw that earlier. sort of like "crunch" being 'crunch time' or something like that.
although you could look at it the other way and think that the skeleton in the picture is a hl2-fanboy waiting for it to be released...
the x700 is really no good imo. it's basically a little better than the 9800pro for more money, not really worth it.
if i were you, i'd go for a 9800pro, or if you want to dish out some money you could get an x800 pro, and that'd last you at least a couple of years.
i'd be willing to put money on it that valve has something like this cooking up. like, a multiplayer expansion pack that they'd release next year or something.
valve has said it's coming out this week sometime, so i'm just going to follow them with blind faith once again.
i said thursday seeing as how all of the preloads etc usually come on a thursday, so it makes sense to me.
i totally agree with you on those points, pogrom, but most of them wouldn't be reasons i'm ashamed to be an australian, but more reasons that i'm ashamed that john howard is our prime minister.
there have been countless protests regarding the refugees, so it's not something you can really...
what you're saying wouldn't make the matrix a metaphor for hl2. it would just make them similar.
i don't really see it though, you might be stretching reality to get a relation between matrix and hl.
