Don't believe everything you read...
I'm going to just come out and say it. I can play the HL2 Leak at 1024x768 w 4xaa/4xaf perfectly, 40+fps at all times. I know its noit anything to judge by, but the final game will just be better optimized. BTW I have a 5900 128mb... haven't had a game...
I told you it was RedBadger.. I'm not an idiot. w0w.
Okay RedBadger, I'll get back on track. I can't wait to see some of the stuff people do with the faceposer. Seems like a huge innovation. Just imagine playing online with realistic faces talking when you use voice comm.
You don't know what im talking about... (trust me, you don't).
Are we allow to post filenames to the leaked stuff? If so, here is one:

Please do not post filenames, thank you. This is your only warning.
What is this "HL2World" you people speak of? Is it some sort of magical web-site? :dork:
What is this CS:S Port you speak of also.... sounds like the E3 2004 stuff has been leaked!! I heard about this a while ago, but I didn't think it was real.. WTF?!?!
One gripe.... he states that the FX series won't run it very well, and basically suggests a 9600 type card over a 5900/5950 card. When in fact the 5900/5950s will be closer to the 9700/9800s. :flame:
Just a gripe of mine.
Basically, its much better than a beta... and Valve thinks it is good enough to be released. Since Doug (I believe) said that he wanted a RC to be sent to the publisher in August, this is very very good news.
About the comments on buying a 9600Pro/XT over an NVidia 5900ish card... the 5900 series will blow the 9600 series out of the water. I am positive that I will be running HL2 at full settings at 1024x768 at the VERY minimum of ~45FPS at all times. I have a 5900 128mb, those old benchmarks were...
Personally, I doubt that they will have any options other than 32bit/16bit... prolly won't even have an option for that. It seems as though Valve wants an even playing field between everyone, and that means making pre-defined settings for certain levels of hardware, along with the on-the-fly...
