let me just disagree with you, eljoniz.
I personally think that releasing a game of HL2's popularity in the gamers community would be a very good reason for the gamers themself to go and get the latest hardware, in order to play it at the best quality possible.
Personally, I don't mind a delay of about 1 month or so...
Honestly it would be only a mere 2% delay, over a 5 year development project...
I just hope they're spending this extra time adding more eye-candy, such as those DX9 High Dynamic Range sweeties, and NOT recompiling the whole Source...
