Man knows what he is talking about! :smoking:
Lexmark = :devil: and :flame:
D3D?! Try using OpenGL, works better for me. I have heard that in most older games, D3D has issues on newer cards? Meh, give OpenGL a whirl see how it does...
A few comments if I may :naughty:
The Audigy ZS Platinum Pro, you do realize that it is external right? You may want to go with the ZS Platinum internal, same great features, less mess.
A good choice on the Z-680, good system. I nicknamed mine "plaster blaster", we already had 3 pictures...
never the less, it should still work in the same place.....theoretically :naughty:
Just be sure it doesn't measure higher than 1mm.
odd, I can't find any good internal images of your case? Meh, looks cool. :)
Seen this before, it was on a blown board, it's voltage regulators were fried. Mostly because the owner fried his nVidia card which dominoed back onto the boards chips.
What you may want to try is resetting your BIOS after installing the new card. It could possibly just be that your voltage...
Ah good, an AMD user. This one's easy, you should have one of these one the end of those wires:

if so, slide it next to the CPU's die, and not under it, there should be a spot where there are no chips...
If it is 9200 SE then don't get it, a 9100 pro or 9000 pro will out perform it seeing as how the 9200SE is only 64bit. The FX5200 is the basic equivalent of the 9200 standard, although I have seen one in action and it is pretty poor. We then put a Radeon 9000 xstasy in the same system, it...
Use OEM only if the box is the difference, or if you need to replace a single part. But if software is included like for sound cards then you will most likely need Retail. OEM has come in handy for alot of people I know, when their hardware wore out and broke, it was off warranty, so they saved...
Wow that's pretty dern good, for a 1ms lag. Usually cable speeds are like 15-32ms. For the sake of your last statement, I am using a Toshiba PCX1100U......aka old, but functional. Time warner came out with new ones but we are too lazy to upgrade. :P
Amazingly though our service has only...
ok, I just need some help on fining a good card that will not surpas a $400 limit online or retail store. It is for my friend who is building a new PC, but all we need is a vid card.
He hates nVidia, always has because he owns one and it seems pretty crappy unfortunately, he is looking for an...
The one single most noticeable difference is of course the 7.1 audio on the ZS versus the Audigy 2 which is capable of 6.1/5.1
-Audigy 2 ZS - Internal, 7.1
-Audigy 2 - Internal, 6.1/5.1
-Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Internal w/Front HD bay, 7.1, Remote Control
-Audigy 2 Platinum - Internal...
I have had this issue before many times....I use 2 temp probes on my CPU...
What you need to do is reset the power supply. To do this flip the switch on back for 10 sec, you may or may not hear a whistle from the capacitors draining, I can since I am using a 430W. This can also be heard on my...
Well I wouldn't go as far as saying they are for wusses, they are simply for people that have spent over $3,000 on hardware and cannot fit any more crap into their SOHO server case. :rolling:
I will admit that water cooling is the way to go, especially if you have a 64FX chip. However I...
