This is incredibly handy for people new to HL2 mapping. I can't complain much, because you basically covered everything up related to the topic.
Perhaps in one of your future videos, you can talk about design theory; where to place enemies, when to use assaults, where to place cover and what...
Are you implying that this game lacks originality? Sure, they've got some characters that are heavily inspired, but it seems like to me, that the majority of the characters have both new and fresh concepts. I don't have a problem with one character not being 100% innovative and thoughtfull; not...
I have to admit it, this actually looks quite promising. Yeah, it definetely looks like Team Fortress 2, but who gives a damn. Most people who has been playing TF2, has already played it for hundreds of hours. This will be a fresh perspective to those who likes games reminiscent to TF2. I mean...
I don't think you can get anything right at this point, because all of this is just speculation. Either Valve is in some deep eternal development hell, or Half-Life 3 is just around the corner; patiently waiting for the best time to release. Both is unlikely, but one can always dream or despair...
2-4 cores will do fine, and it will work for as long as your computer lives. The processor you picked, is just fine, and will most likely survive and run the most games for the next couple of years.
Also, if you're really hurting on cash, then consider choosing the R7 250X with 2 GB's instead...
The 8800GT and Core2Duo is soon to be obsolete for current-gen gaming. Upgrade it all.
Newer parts are less compatiable with older motherboards, which will hit the performance of the computer in some way. Upgrading the HDD will also help with booting up windows and other programs faster...
Making Half-Life 3 F2P would be an odd combination, considering that Half-Life's design doesn't exactly match with microtransactions. If it turns F2P, then I'd expect severe changes to the core design of the series, which I don't think would happen. I think they will add some sort of co-op or...
NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
It will propably just jump up on my head, kill me, turn me into a zombie and humiliate my corpse by having sexual intercouse with my skull! Better shoot it from a safe distance, so it doesn't suprise jump me and claw my dick off.
That makes me think, because the location of Half-Life 3 is in the antarctica, where the borealis is. Wouldn't it be suitable to have a free roam area of the frozen deserts? Driving around, finding small combine and rebel stations and trying to get to your objective. Kind of like the chapter...
The correct path would be C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Half-Life 2\hl2. Thats the path with the actual game. If you put your autoexec in the username Half-Life 2, it's not going to work.
