Again, though, you're just confusing yourself and others here. Yes, if you understand science, then nothing is certain fact and all things are provisional. However, for most people, they use the word "fact" in a particular sense that applies just fine to evolution as it does to all other...
Evolution is actually more than just natural selection and speciation, which is what you are describing, but basically you have it.
Think of a population of organisms. There is random noise being added to members of this population, increasing their total genetic variation. However, these...
Actually, it's more complicated than that. In a colloquial sense, common descent is a fact in the same way that Bill Clinton was President is a fact. In a scientific sense, of course, facts are always provisional on the evidence, and evidence is provisional on other evidence, and so on. And in...
Dogs. Cows. Fruit flies. And also, pretty much everything we've observed for a significant amount of time. And yes, that includes observations of speciations as well, though generally people wildly misunderstand and overinflate the importance of speciation compared to allele change in...
I weep for America.
Yes, americans are a lot more religious than people in your country. But whether they are biblical literalists like the kids in your class seem to be, varies quite a lot. What part of America are you in?
Evolution is both gradual and punctuated: the two terms refer to different scales. Its gradual in the sense that the changes from generation to generation are always pretty minor. But it's punctuated in the sense that the pace of change in the macro scale can vary quite a lot: species can...
Yeah, the pricing is truly looney. These are all fairly simple puzzle games: stuff like this comes bundled with windows media center for goodness sakes. 20 is just plain silly. Buy 17 puzzle games, be out 340$ That make sense to anyone?
Nothing said yet about when. Really depends on how much they planned things before leaving the states, but I'd say chances are they might not come out on steam until they return from germany: I don't think they'd want to do a release with half the employees out of the country.
I hope they do...

Oh George Allen, we hardly new ye.
Macaca, as it turns out, happens to be an obscure racial slur that somehow popped into the head of this guy who's had several problems with race in the past. In this video, it's being directed at an...
Ok, so even more my point. New guns aren't their thing. I think that's too bad. It's not like I'm asking for yet another shotgun. I'm asking for something interesting like the guass gun. Having the gravity gun is great, but in way it also only underscores how vanilla and mundane the rest of...
I basically paraphrased something I read from them in an article on that GG comment. They poo-poo'ed the idea of having more weapons and played up the gravity gun. If they've said something different about it, I'd like to hear it.
Honestly, I think the lack of new weapons is sort of a weakness. HL2 definately lacked in this department (a fairly vanilla arsenal) so it was something I was hoping they'd beef up. The gravity gun is awesome, but I wish there were more things like the Guass gun from HL1 that did neat things...
The problem with shooting portals through portals is that it basically allows you to navigate the entire level without walking anywhere. I thought the last level of nabacular drop was really hard... until I realized that I didn't have to physically move upwards: all I had to do was "walk" the...
I wouldn't mind consulting. Glad to see someone doing something in the adventure line. Space Quest, Hero's quest, king's quest: those were the days!

you mean the texture. :)
Nope, this was someone else's mistake. All 3 trailers were recorded on the same engine build. They used different effects and shaders in each, as per the needs and art direction of each. They HAVE said, however, that the shadows are a work in progress, so not the...
