Using a simple learning algorithm (even a genetic one) is quite feasible, especially if you take advantage of smart coding rather than expecting the bot to learn everything from scratch. There are obvious weaknesses in the soldiers that could be fixed without adding to CPU load.

So you're talking about HL2DM? That's not to do with your graphics card, more to do with high CPU requirements and bad servers.

There's definitely scope for a good dodgeball mod, but I'd like to see a good football or soccer one too. I've played a soccer one for HL1, but it's not that good. It could be great under the source engine!

I wondered that too, but then surely they have a revalidation procedure ('can you tell us the cc number you bought this on', etc) rather than go through some odd procedure like this? Let's hope they fix things quickly.

Not sure about Pong, but I could see tennis/squash/etc (like Deathball on UT2004) being good.
