What do you guys think will be in the collecters edition? Here is my guess:
Half Life 2
Half Life: Making of (video/other multimedia)
Half Life 2 Poster
Gordon Freeman Figurine (crosses fingers)
Here's my BEST guess:
Half Life 2 = $50
Half Life 2: Collecter's Edition (CD) = $65
Half Life 2: Collecter's Edition (DVD) = $75
Personally, for the game alone, I'd easily pay up to 70 dollars, and easily up to 90 for the collecter's edition.
uhhh, I'm pretty much going best bang for my buck. Do you really think the Radeon 9800 256 is worth the 300 dollars, instead of a 256 Geforce FX 5400 for 150? :-/
Interaction virtually impossibly? Nah, imagine the foreplay possibly with the manipulator gun. ;-)
On a serious note, I'm really counting on Valve NOT to make it a sappy love story. And yeah, I'm pretty sure Alyx will die.
Hey, I'm getting kinda concerned. I hope to run HL2 at max specs with 30+ fps. Here are my specs.
AMD Athlon XP 2100+
ASUS A7-V333 Mobo
512MB DDR (pc-333)
Asus Geforce 4 Ti4400 128MB
Here's the catch. I have 300-400 dollars to spend on compy parts. I was considering getting a...
Well, if there is absoulutely no difference except for changing CD's during installation, I'll stick with the CD version. If there are less load times or something, time to buy a DVD drive.
Don't get me wrong, Half Life 2 will probably be the best game ever in my opinion, but the addition of Alyx is possibly a cliche idea. The main character meets up with a beautiful girl by "coincidence," they fall in love...
It concerns me a bit. Part of the first Half Life's charm was it...
Yeah, that's one of my main questions too. Actually, I suppose I will pick up a DVD drive solely for Half Life. Is fourty bucks about a good price for one?
I just joined up yesterday, and I really love these forums. I'd definitely love to see some more intelligent Half-Life 2 discussions. I think that we have enough dedicated, cool Half-Lifers to turn these forums around and back to the "cool, controlled" state it was in previously. Maybe if the...
I don't have a DVD player on my computer, as I think it's somewhat pointless, and I'm getting pretty concerned. If I play it on a CD, will I have longer load times after I've installed the game? Will I not have acess to the special edition's extra media? Will I miss out on anything except for...
I'd have to agree with jat about the story thing. At the end of Half Life 2, I suspect that there will be a catastrophic thing that happens, and then it will fade to black and end with some cool music. That way, Half Life 3 will be highly anticipated.
