Damn mobo gets so hot because of the passive heatsink on the chipset(thinking of getting something else there) and the pc4000 mems get pretty hot too. Otherwise, my cpu never gets warmer then 20-something under full load. Dunno about my gpu, it's water cooled as well and I have remove the shim...
Yes, this is called PAT (Intel Performance Acceleration Technology) and I had the exact same problem, I could not turn on FW if I didn't enable PAT in BIOS, Windows will then install some drivers and ask you to reboot if you haven't had it enabled before.. Though I'm not really sure if I think...
I get the artifacts when clocking core and it is water cooled... Obviously the memory is the problem here.. I might need some heatspreaders for them, anyone know where I can get good ones?
It might be the passive heatsink on my chipset that becomes very hot and it's placed right over the ATi...
Hmm, I've successfully OC'ed the core on my 9800pro to 450(I did not try to get any higher then that).. But I have some problems though, the picture is for shit.. In 3D graphics there are flickering objects every where.. Seems to be very buggy but it's running smoothly without any problems...
shim gone
Ok, I couldn't resist.. I removed it. It was actually fairly easy and the best tip I got from reading of ppl who have done it is.. Be patient! for god sake don't be stressed while doing this. I was at first thinking about all the bad stuff I've read and I think I might have been...
Hey guys,
Just got my new gear like 2 days ago and when I was removing the heatsink on my 9800pro card I notices that it had the "dreaded" shim :(. I guess all radeon cards(9700 and above) have a shim? I've heard that this was a problem on R300 based cards (9700 cards)... Did some searches on...
Ok, but I would advise against it.. I sort of get the impression that your thinking of Koolance and their systems are pretty crappy imho. Believe me, I've had some bad experience with Koolance, you don't want to go there.
They make low quality pumps that _will_ break eventually (that's...
Correction.. music cd files are not wav, the file format is called cda. However most programs need the source data to be converted to wav before they can handle it and burn it to a cd as cda file.
Nero has been able to convert mp3 to cda and burn it to a music cd for a long time now.. just...
It all depends on how you hook it up(if your using y-connectors etc) and what room temperature you have. The water temp will not go below room temp of course. But I would say 30-40-something Celsius.. Depending on how much you over clock your system and if your using other blocks for gpu etc...
No, as I've said before.. This water cooling system should fit in most midi-tower cases.. Some cases might need a little modding though, but in general.. This is some thing the average person with some interest and knowledge of computers should be able to pull off.
It was rather easy, at...
I know..
Distilled water doesn't lead electricity.. So it should not harm the system if leakage would appear. Besides, I didn't say that this _was_ the exact reason for using distilled water.
I use Innovaprotect and I haven't got any alga in my system.
