Well the numbers weren't exactly planned. They received a positive response from the fanbase so they were repeated throughout the show. It's more of the shows own inside joke than a for srs theme.
It was naive not to expect this, but I hardly think they were doing everything possible other than sailing their ship towards their destination. Plus, this being the expected response is hardly a defence for Israel. Because you expect someone to commit a crime doesn't excuse it. They were...
There was no one else on the island except for people Jacob brought to the island. How exactly would they have learned anything over those hundreds of years?
Pretty traditional mother issues if you ask me. His mother didn't give him as much attention as his brother, or seem to love him as much. Later in life he deifies himself (tempting, given the powers he has) so that he can receive the love and attention from his followers that he didn't receive...
What exactly was Christian about it? The afterlife? Because that's a feature of just about every single religion/mythology throughout human history. It was a happy spiritual ending, but not Christian. I thought the stained glass window depicting symbols from many faiths would help deflect the...
It's on my list, always loved the look of it. Plus there's never been a multiplayer game I can play with my Dad since Mario Kart, so this should be a great replacement.
You know Smokey had a lot of involvement in that, probably more than we know. That's the history of things: Jacob brings people to the island, Smokey tests/corrupts/kills them, in the process proving to Jacob the flaws of humans whilst also furthering his plan to escape. It's safe to assume...

And I want to add the lack of Oddworld love in this thread ****ing disturbs me.
That psychic was confirmed in a later episode to be a fraud. That event contributed to Claire's anxiety over raising Aaron, which was a major aspect of her character for quite some time.
Killing countless people for a couple of thousand years is pretty high up on the evil scale. Also, I'm sure his smoke monster form was considerably more evil than his human form, so it's entirely possible some ancient evil did have a part to play.
But the first colossus was the least interesting one. How can that be "coolio" when jumping onto a bird as it swoops past then climbing it as it's flying, or steering a giant water beast towards platforms so you can jump off and shoot it's weak spots, or shooting down a huge flying sand worm...
Rumours have emerged on many sites (1up's story here) claiming that we'll see Ico and SotC bundled together and HD-fied (like the God of War Collection) in Q1 2011.
If this is true I will cry. Those games deserve to be played at their very best.
