I really wish I could, I've got it pushed up as far against the wall as it can go. My bed's behind me so I can't move my chair further back either. Wall mounting could be an option, but I'm pretty sure it's plaster and it makes a hollow noise if I knock it so that doesn't seem safe.
If I had a monitor the same size as my current, was in the same place and displayed a higher resolution then the image image quality would be improved. I don't see how that's disputable.
24" would be no good for me, simply wouldn't fit on the desk. Everything has to be crowded onto there since...
My desk only has so much room and my arms are only so long. I do lie back on my bed if the game works well with a controller, or if I'm watching a video, but a lot of the time I'm at my desk.
All the threads about monitors recently reminded me of a question I meant to ask a while ago.
Are there any monitors that have resolutions that exceed the standards for their size? For example, an ordinary 22" monitor is 1680x1050, but if the resolution was 1920×1200, then games would look...
Buying this tomorrow. It's cool as shit that it's so cheap too. £22 new, that's just beautiful. Haven't spent much time on a fighting game since Street Fighter 2, and I barely understood what was going on back then. Safe to say I'll be staying away from the online for a while.
I guarantee you if Cameron had said that, the media would have portrayed him as a no-shit-honest-says-it-like-it-is-with-his-furious-little-eyes hero. I'm no fan of Brown, but the media outcry over this has been completely unfair.
Edit: Don't you hate it when he pulls his tough guy faces...
I'm surprised there's even any controversy over the possibility of him having a voice. A character not having a voice isn't a good thing, it's just better than bad voice acting. If it was good voice acting, it would be better than none. Hence the proven Formula for Voice Acting:
Good > None >...
Reading the Collected Tales of Nikolai Gogol at the moment. Actually enjoying him more than Dostoevsky, which I didn't think was possible beforehand. It's the typical biting Russian wit and tragic ridiculousness you'd expect, but he fuses the real and the abnormal in a way I've never...
For me, for the second sequel of a game, especially on a new and far more powerful console, not to match the original is terrible (which I found enjoyable but wasn't much more than alright). What I saw in Halo was tremendous potential for something fantastic, which neither of the sequels managed...
I'm actually really looking forward to Reach. I've never been very impressed with Halo, and 3 was total garbage for me, I found it seriously appalling. But everything I've seen of Reach so far looks like it'll be a certain buy, as long as they don't f-up the campaign like they did in 3.
Thank you so much. I didn't know what type of game I'd be playing, when I started I figured it was an FPS with some RPG elements, so I went it shooting everything but that didn't work out very well. Now that I know to approach it as a full RPG it's totally changed me perspective.
Also, I...
Do you also tear up/salute at nothing every time you listen to Debriefing?

That scene was the most emotional reaction I've had to any non-real life event ever. The end always gives me the chills too.
I bought Deus Ex from the midweek madness sale, since people here keep yapping about it so much. I didn't have a PC capable at the time, so this'll be my first time. Can someone give me some pointers on general what to do, how to play, what to expect and story summary? The training mission...
