Open up source engine.gcf with a program like gcf scape, go to hl2, then scripts, theres a whole section to do with soundscapes for different levels in the 'S's'.

Did you create the brushes manually around the map or create a solid block covering all of it? If its solid you will need to hollow it out, if you did it the first way then check that theres absolutly no little holes anywhere. If you already hollowed it out then make sure theres no entities...

Been a big fan of the Thief series, Thief 3 was waaay to short and way to small. I was kind of hoping for more 'Life of the party' style missions from T2. That said, its still a great game with great atmosphere.
