Exactly. Your whole body moves up and down just a little. The camera being steady gives me the feel of sneaking around or something, and it's like you're gliding across the floor. And when you have no weapon like in the train station bink, it just looks weird. Just a tiny bit of bobbing...
Does anyone else find this ridiculous? It's like there's a Doom 3 gang and a Half-Life 2 gang. Haha . . . wow. Who cares, really. I just get this mental picture of that scene from West Side Story with the Sharks and the Jets, snapping and dancing, except it's a bunch of gamers.
No, not the weapon models, the whole screen. Like I said, Battlefield 1942 did this and it was done really well. It moved just like your head does in real life. A lot of games do this. When it's done right, it adds a lot to the feel of the game. It may be subtle, but it helps.
Haha, I...
When watching the train station bink video, I noticed your head is completely steady when walking. Your view doesn't bob up and down at all or shift at all. To me, this kind of takes away from the immersion of the game. I feel less a part of the game when the camera is completely steady. It...
I'm not sure which one I should get. I don't really see any point in getting CE. Don't you just get stuff like a mouse pad and extra stuff like that? Do you get any thing more game-wise? Which one should I get?
I won't be playing . . . and I don't plan on paying extra money just to play it before HL2 is released. Maybe I'll actually go and do something OUT of the house. Whoa . . .
HOW ABOUT . . . I know this sounds crazy, but . . . there IS a use key and for certain objects like computers, hitting the use key enables you to use the computer in Doom 3 fashion so you can click with your mouse.
I was just looking at some screenshots of CS:S, and in several of them it says "Target succesfully bombed." Now, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I DO believe that "successfully" has TWO S's before the F. Haha . . . that's funny.
Exactly. Very lame. It would look ridiculous and it would be very distracting.
"Oh, look! That spraypaint is moving! I think I will watch to see what happens . . . AAGhghhhh! I've been shot! Curse those animated spraypaints!"
As you can see, they would only cause trouble.
. . . are you talking about fastswitch? Where you just hit 1 to change instead of hitting 1 and then clicking? You would still have the option of turning off fastswitch . . . I don't see the problem.
Yeah, an animation with wire cutters or something would be great. It's kind of weird right now, just holding a gun and having a little bar that shows your progress.
First, I will sweet-talk the box :hmph:. Let it know I have a great personality. Then I will listen to what it has to say :dozey:. We'll talk about its problems, and it will know I care. Then, when it knows it can trust me, I will start being more affectionate ;). I will smell it . . ...
