Those weren't this months releases, they were 1/4 of the first page of reviews. If you read the paragraph, I'm not saying there are more releases on Mac than PC. I was saying there are plenty of games out for Macs.

Yeah, I hope HL2 is a full, burnable download from Steam. Opposing Force was horrible - I tried it, and it would lock up every 3 seconds and take about 5 minutes to load between each level.. and I got about 1mbps downloading CS from it, so I know it's not a bandwidth issue.

I'd do a format, if I was you. Check your BIOS though. Make sure AGP apeture is between 64-128mb, turn fast writes off and don't overclock, if you are.

I would just get a Sapphire 9800 and flash it to a 9800 Pro. It's up to you guys though. A Sapphire 9800 is around $240.
