What I posted was from the Lombardi e-mail, yes. The "fake" they're talking about in this thread though was a fake e-mail from Gabe Newell saying the Lombardi e-mail wasn't true.

Well, before I posted the news of it at HL2Files, I did a snoop on the ip and it brought back Valve as the source. Never hurts to have a second opinion though.

Do NOT mail Gabe, jeez. Flooding Gabe and VALVe with e-mails isn't going to help in any way. I'm sure he's already got more than he can reply to in a month. Some of you guys need to relax. At the end of the day, it is just a game.

Feels good to have HL2Files beat Shacknews on this big a story- even if the news is as depressing as it is. ;( Hopefully the editing tools / Hammer will still find a release soon so mods can at least get some quality time in.
