    Exclusive Interview With Chuck Osborn

Can I get a "I told you so." Not harm intended, and I totally understand why so many of you would be upset that CS was the only multiplayer but when Gabe Newell says plainly at E3 2004, "Last year we showed you the singleplayer part of HL2, this year we're going to show you the multiplayer. We...

PC Gamer Exclusive Half-Life 2 Review

Is that really the final print cover for the magazine? No offense, but that's pretty weak. I hope they change it before it goes to press. Can't we get a little more creative than just the HL2 logo?

    Career Suicide For Vivendi???

After it is all said and done, will anyone remember this little civil fiasco between Valve and Vivendi? I hear people talking about the fall of VUG, how they'll never get developers to sign on board. I don't believe that at all. I think after all this blows over, whether VUG wins or loses, they...

    Boring mods

Because the sci-fi genre seems to be trailing off a bit? Because the masses want to play more war games? Because new and original gameplay doesn't have to come from an entirely new fantasy world? Your question is rather broad. Along the lines of "Why do people keep opening more mexican food...

Anyone want a cheap subscripton to PC Gamer (US)?

I've used their site for years. It's all legit, but it does take a while to get your first issues. Sometimes 10-12 weeks. But they will come, rest assured. They are current issues too. It's really a good deal.

    Help in Fable

Hahah build your own. Classic. Sidewinder is right though. There's a nice little sign out front if you can aqquire the property. Look on your little map in the HUD too. It usually shows properties with little house symbols.

    Rome: Total War

Man this game is great. Been playing all day. They really outdid themselves. The campaign is incredibly deep and absolutely addicting.

Fable Breaks Sales Records in First Week of Release!

Yeah, that's just Xbox sales records. Madden sold something like 1.3 million copies in it's first week. But still, 375,000 copies of an RPG on Xbox in one week is nothing to complain about. Well done.

Every step that Valve takes is another mistake to Vivendi...

Does anyone think Vivendi would hold off releasing HL2 until they get a verdict? If Vivendi is asking for the Intellectual Property, and gets it, then releasing HL2 after the verdict would net them more than twice as much money. Talk about fixing your financial problems. How big of a risk would...

The truth about mcdonalds *LONG READ(S)*

Sounds like every large corporation out there. Life isn't fair, and business is cut-throat. There are a few exceptions out there, but they are few and far between. If anything, this should be just another reason, on a very long list, for staying in school and getting an education.

Steelwind's initial review of The Sims 2

I can't believe I forgot Simant! I still have the original case for that one too. That game was so cool back in the day. Red vs. Black ants and the devestating lawn mower. Taking over the house was a blast, digging tunnels all over the place. Sheer brilliance. I too hope they make a new editon...

Steelwind's initial review of The Sims 2

Maxis has been my favorite developer since I played Simcity on SNES when it was first released. Since then nearly all of their games have been of great quality. Simcity, Simcity 2K, Simtower, Simcity 3, Sims, Simcity 4, and now Sims 2. I've been addicted to Simcity 4 since he was released...

Steelwind's initial review of The Sims 2

No I was not exaggerating. Situations like these happen all the time. Read the extended review on gamespy as well. He talk about how a sim steals another sim's food (or something) and he swears the sim looked back over his shoulder as if he knew he was taking something he shouldn't. After a fear...

Steelwind's initial review of The Sims 2

I'm sure they'll release a demo at some point, at least I hope they do. Alot of people dismiss the game because they think it's just a pretty facelift to the original, however it's much deeper than simple cosmetic changes. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Steelwind's initial review of The Sims 2

Mods, if you wish this to be in the sims 2 thread below, that's fine with me The Sims is one of those games you either love or you hate. I've seen very few people sitting on the fence. However, I think a lot of the people who hate the game are truly missing out on just how deep and...

    Valve Site Slipup?

Most Texans feel that we are a seperate country. I don't think any other populace has the pride in their state that Texas does. "The stars at night, are big and bright..." "Deep in the heart of Texas!"
