nothing wrong with my 5200. Infact, it was only when I put that card in that all the bugs stopped crashing HL2. Looks great, and runs great. Eat zombie poo.

Well I had the same problem and I wanted to cry everytime it crashed. However, today I upgraded my graphics card to a GeForce 5200 from my crappy intergrated graphics, and it hasn't crashed once since. My god, it's a stunning game. Anyway, I wish the rest of you the best of luck in sorting...

I've validated both HL2 & CS:S and STILL getting the same memory error crash. I can only play from one load area to the next. It's really annoying me now. I let Valve know, I guess all I can do is sit and wait. At least CS:S works like a dream - and I still had the chance to crowbar...
