Wouldn't be nice though if Valve just included an unlockable feature called "Cool shit to do in HL2" stuff like driving a strider, or driving a buggy covered in spikes - to name a few egs of cool stuff to do.
/wishful thinking
I hate it when someone might suggest a really cool idea, or ask a really cool question in the valve info thread and they get a reply saying "We can't be stuffed to/don't want to and would prefer other people to do it." If it's that damn easy to do why don't they include it someway, maybe an...
I liked using force grip on storm troopers then holding them over a ledge and watching them FALL TO THEIR DOOM!
I doubt you would be able to do this in HL2 but it is possible to mod it. Would be so fun to grab a Combine soldier with the manipulator gun and just throw him around the room...
I would say that those creatures are just rotting corpses that the zombies have taken over. How they move so quickly is beyond me.
Also that gun that Father Gregory uses looks more like those lever action rifles they used in the Old West than a shotgun.
Gordon isn't in the HEV suit all the time, right? I mean in that scene we saw with the Combine raiding the flat Gordon would have attracted a lot more attention if he was wearing a bright orange suit.
Is she mother of Alyxx? I mean, Eli is black but Alyxx (his daughter) doesn't really look as dark as him. There could be another reason for Alyxx's fair complexion (lifestyle of City-17 means more time indoors). I don't know. Stupid to speculate until we see the game.
Oh and it's good to see...
I heard that this weapon won't make it into the final game as it was there only to play around with the physics. You have to admit, that although it would be fun to do it is kind of hard to implement in the gameplay. Still, i suppose that someone could mod it pretty easily.
I can't wait for...
Question still remains after two E3's whether we can kill the damn thing. I would guess that the Strider's are bulletproof but are they machine or alien or both (Combine?). They would be too hard to trip with three legs but getting on the back of one and blowing a hole in it's head then chucking...
Yeah, the knocking on the door sound really made the Combine look more like Gestapo officers. Also it isn't so much a knock on the door, but rather a deafening bang.
Well I think enemy AI seems a bit dodge from what we have seen (very little, I know) but I really don't like the way those Combine act when those antlions attack them. Personally if there were large amounts of bugs attacking me I would be walking backwards very quickly, firing as I went. The...
Looks more like an eagle, but it is going waaay too slow to be a bird, also birds tend to flap their wings. Could be a scanner but like you said it is pretty large.
Guess that makes sense. But it makes it harder for people new to HL to get into it if there is no official site for info.
Oh and in that trailer, wtf is that floating flying thingy when Gordon enters that courtyard with the column with the horse on top?
Gameplay will probably be quite similar (as many have said) but I think it will be because of the weapons. So many of HL1's weapons are returning. Eg, the crowbar. Personally I feel that Gordon could have gotten a more efficient melee weapon than the crowbar again. After all, the crowbar made...
