I'm not sure a pure HL3 (as linear as HL2 was) would go down that well. I'd like to see them take longer and add some replay value, make it a bit less scripted.
The best settings is everything turned on full, water on reflect all and so on. antialiasing = the smoothing applied to jagged edges to make them look less jagged.
I dunno, would you superimpose your bosses face on to a woman's body and distribute it in a million-selling computer game?... actually yes, yes I would!
Maybe that is Gabe's twin sister Gabby?
Your card will go way past 1024x768 - if anything is holding you back it's the monitor. Are you saying your monitor is limited to 1024x768 max? Usually the natural resolution is the one that the picture looks best at (unscaled).
Stick with the 4200. Personally I wouldn't buy anything less...
I'd say 'no' to 1280x1024 on mostly high with the 4200, even with 1Gb. Maybe 1024x768 on low would be more realistic with such limited RAM. You have two weak points there. For only £250 I'd be looking at some more RAM and the best graphics card you can get and leave the P4, since a 2600 is just...
Yeah, antlions >> people. In real life too, sometimes. It was annoying when the AI guys were like 'we'll follow Freeman!' and I'm thinking '... I don't know where the hell I'm going, stop following me!'. Changing the subject a little, can Barney be killed? I was using him to do all the hard work...
I know man, I know, it just sucked. It felt like they rushed that one a bit. And weren't you expecting a giant boss or something, the final scene was not hard at all (good!). On the plus side, the gravgun was cool, no? :)
