This isnt so much an idea for a mod just a game mode. Since HL2 maps can be so much bigger i dont think the old game modes will work too well. Maps are going to be 4x as big but there only going up to 32 player, this meens things are going to be a bit spread out. I thought of a Battle...

AF is way more important than AA IMO. I play most games at 12x9 with 16 AF and no AA. Ill probarbly have to take the rezz down but since im on a 9700pro turning AA and AF on has very little effect on proformance.

look at the link its from www.anandtech.com a very reputable hardware site. It wouldnt surprise me if valve did give them the bench mark.

DM doesnt realy suit HLs phisics and movement speed. IF they made all that less realistic for online play it could be cool. The only HL DM that works is the specalists and thats only becuse theyve completely rewriten the movement, something i dont think valve will bother doing.

yeah its going to be a complete **** up when they release HL2 you wont be able to download it for days, just look what happened when CS1.6 was first released.

The Specalists is the most fun DM game ever :) Other than that i play non-fps games WC3: Frozen Throne (best expantion pack ever, they could have released it as a whole new game) Medieval: Total War

This is exactly why they dont tell us. The anticipations way bigger than the MP will ever be, keeping it secret just makes you want it more. People might go out and buy it just to see what it does.
