If this were true, then shouldn't we have seen combine in half-life 1?
I'm not sure if i can make any sense of this.. can you re-word it perhaps (and i think you mean vortigonts (sp?), not xen) p.s. where != were
i see what your saying. they rewarded him with power, doesn't mean they appointed him leader. I guess i thought he was a leader, because he seems to have so much authority in the game. He has his own office, he's portrayed in big screens throughout the game. He just has the type of 'aura' if you...
Here is the exact quote from eli:
"Dr Breen.... He's the administrator of this whole vile Business now. He ended the Seven Hours War by manageing Earth's surrender. The combine rewarded him with power."
administrator of the earth? how does he go from administrator of Black Mesa, to administrator of earth?
Also, yah i thought about how stupid it would be to appoint someone from the opposite side as your leader, but apparantly Dr. Breen isn't on 'our side' I'll have to get the exact quote of...
Alright so we know that Dr. Breen is the leader of the combine, as a result of Dr. Breen manageing earth's surrender. Since he did this the Combine appointed him their leader. But who 'lead' the combine before Dr. Breen? Did they have no leader and are just working together for a common goal...
I wish they wouldn't show us stuff that might get cut. It only sets us up for disappointment.
I think ill just not watch any media anymore for any up and coming valve games :|
how bout we get back on topic. [/derail]
I never had to many stupid moments, just a couple times i had to walk around for a little bit (read: alot) to find where to go next.
Like once there was an underwater passage that i couldnt find b/c it blended so well with the adjacent walls.
i think most of the fan made answers are merely speculation, not cold hard fact. Some of the answers brought up could have been made before half life 2 was even released (ie. why are the combine in c17).
I'd rather not speculate, but rather know the real answer. Speculation does no good for me.
I don't think you can put the blame on Troika. Someone has to pay them, they gotta pay bills and stuff too you know. And if Activision won't pay them to do another patch, i dont see how you can put the blame on troika.
