I have some constructive criticism :) If you keep at making sites your level of skill will rise exponentially. When I look at my early sites it makes me laugh so hard. And whats wrong with all flash sites, when done right they are amazing. ie. http://www.2advanced.com
Even my pages now...
Umm... ok... just because it also has the same picture of an antlion and is very plain dosent make it a rip. Might as well say you ripped Valve with yours. Also the shadow in his is different. If you had drawn that picture or It also had the same text/backround/etc. or something... maybe. Yours...
Two things.
First its not like they used some magic scrollbar to turn the AI "up" or "down" what they mean is they crafted the actions of the enemies in order to facilitate the things they wanted to show in the demonstration. Second the AI in HL was really cool, and the AI in HL2 will be to.
Stealing software is alot like littering. Everyone knows its wrong but they figure everyone else will just keep doing it so why shouldnt I be able to, I wont make a difference. That leads to everyone continuing to download warez/litter. Ethics/morals are complicated everyone has their own...
What are you talking about? All you need is a standard network cable... Also whats up with all the hate, the guy says that his game's multiplayer will be cool and everyone complains his company has no new ideas. Why dont you go complain to gabe for likeing Mario 64. Also I like the new zelda...
This is also the premise for Comand and Conquer: Red Alert. Einstein goes back in time and kills hitler thus causeing a big war between Stalin and the Allies to occur. Ahh good old game storylines.
Its been pretty obvious since the first Half Life that travel through dimensions/space time, what have you is a big part of the story. And going back to black mesa would be freaking awesome.
The ironic thing is complainers can keep complaining cause no one can complain about complaining and keep their own legitamite right to complain. If that makes any sense.
Go silent majority!
Heres a funny idea :) Think of theoretical physics as the same thing as our crazy guessing as to what is in Half-Life2. We have vague and far off hints and we construct a picture of the whole game off of that. Physicists have small bits of random and inprovable data with which they create a...
Alot of people dont think its a good fighting game, but It really does look very good and the animations are smooth as umm... something really smooth. Plus I personally really like the fighting style it uses compared to other games but then again Im not a huge fan of fighting games in general so...
Whatever the story I cant wait to play the level that takes place in the Citadel. (I will just assume there will be one, as if you assume you are never ever wrong)
That would be really cool :) I guess you can think of this tread as a "wouldnt it be sweet" thread. Cause I do realize that rendering decent hair and clothing would tax system resources quite a bit.
I realize all of the things that have been mentioned, I would be quite willing to bet that those are the reasons that Valve didnt do anything like that. I was just wondering about the future and the possibility of adding things like this. Certainly the scope of possibilities with HL1 has...
How much has been said on the possibility of writing a seperate system for hair and clothing physics in the source engine. I know that it dosent include a seperate system for either on its own but I think the ability to add it would really liven up the character designs. Especially with the...
