64 bit processors have been out for a while now, and contrary to popular belief, there isn't a very big need for them in the consumer market. The switch from 32 to 64 bit computing is nowhere near as big as the jump from 16 to 32 bit.

Vital character trigger an end game sequence, "Unable to make effective use of resources" or something along those lines, it was an existing token by valve, so i don't remember the wording.
Vital scripts... well, unfortunately i don't have any way of telling whether or not a script is vital...
Its not about just killing friendlies... its really more about the fact that before you couldn't. I, and many others, felt it was a restriction (probably put in place for anti-violence reasons) that detracted from the realism of the game, and added absolutely nothing to it.
So i fixed it as...

Version 0.2 released just now. This will likely be the last version.
If it loads the maps slowly, you can always extract the hl2 maps folder into this mod's directory, and load times are a fraction of the wait.

Half-Life 2: Friendly Fire
v0.2...
if you tell me the exact perameters you are looking for that would be cool. Right now it is setting:
host_timescale = 0.3
Phys_PushScale = 20
cl_Phys_timescale = 0.1
and 4 seconds it is.
Off to bed for now.

Well, the good news is that it works... the bad news is that i haven't figured out that whole smooth transition into time slowing down just yet, but thats just eye candy anyways. I'll try to look at the zoom code some more and model it after that.
Nothing specific, but for #1, build a new changelevel entity extended from the existing one with any new properties you would need. (i don't know exactly what it is you want here, do you want an entity to place in the maps, or a modified console command??)
#2 I'd have to look at the sprint...
yeah, that would be me.
1 and 2 sound pretty easy, but you will need to elaborate a little more on #1.
in terms of #3, i think that is something engine specific, but we might be able to figure out some kind of a hack to get around that.

its not a controdiction at all... you realize they are two different games don't you?
at the end of hl2 he decided that he needs you regardless of whether or not you want to work for him... after going through the hell he had to twice, and having seen what has come of the world he once may...
the resolution of the splash screen is dependant on the texture detail. Set it to high and it should look better again. I thought you meant the way it blurs out when you have a VGUI2 window open.

in looking through the AI code for the combine, there are comments in reference to charging saying something along the lines of "charge at the player more frequently because physics combat is more fun at close range."
I thought the AI was pretty decent, no major problems with it. I wouldn't...
Currently they have a high tollerence when in combat. If you hit them a few times then they shouldn't attack. They will attack, however, if you have all but killed them by yourself.
I have to agree with you guys. You can try replacing the Client and Server DLL's in the HL2 folder, but i think they get overwritten by the GCF, and it certainly isn't easy to swap things in and out....
