All I know is that OpenGL runs a lot better on Linux than any Windows OS, based on my experience. But I wouldn't be able to give you a solid answer as to which is better, because I wouldnt know if D3D is better than OGL, and vice-versa

actually the AI in far cry was pretty cool, I'm really impressed with the game and the visuals on it. Although the AI wasn't the best I've seen it was done in a good way, it just needs to be further tweaked in my opinion

I never really thought HL the game iself was anything amazing, but the multiplayer took the cake on that one. Although the majority of you bicker and babble about how much CS sucks, it is the backbone of HL's success, and to be quite honest I played CS for a few years like any true fanatic. But...
