Yeah, it's almost every modders dream to become part of a software company. Some do it for fun, but a lot of people make mods for experience when they try and get a job.
Most of the time only a few people are put on "bug duty", as it can be counter-productive to put more then that. As the people fix the bugs, they move on to new bugs.

I'd take Gordon's job... As long as I could be instantly healed by med packs scattered around the area in which I'm fighting, and also have an HEV suit thats protects me from practically everything. I'd also want a lot of ammo and some glasses like Gordon has.
Then I'd be ready to rock n roll.
I'd just go with a 9800 Pro. I mean, this new card might not be that large of a "step up" in terms of performance. It's possible it could just be like the "ultra" (as in Geforce Ultra cards) series of the ATi cards.
We'll see, though.

Yeah, I think style is the most important part. A game could look cartoony, but still have good graphics. It's all in the way the game is meant to be presented.
