Well I mean i know it's going to be a great game, and even though valve says it's better than the first, i dont know if it will give me the same experience. I was/am alittle worried because from the recent issues of those magazines about saying how they will have the HL2 review on the stands...

You know, in the HL2 Developer Interview, they did say they were holding back the multiplayer suprise until they released the product. And that was said in May of 2003...hmmmmmm.....very strange....and rumour has it work started for CS:S in January 2004? I think we got a HUGE suprise coming...

Well they said they were going to talk about once they got in the launch cycle, but still, in may at e3, they were probably considering that the launch cycle and look now...you know valve...but im not contradicting myself about the themed MP, im sure valve has one. Especially from people playing...

Yeah, that would be sweet as hell. Any like a HLTDM mode or something, but yeah i like the idea of combine vs. resistance in the city, or just multiple freemans, alyx, eli, scientists, etc... :)

It's already obvious that HL2 will come out no later than prolly 2weeks TOPS after those reviews. So many magazine companies are sending the issues out early October anyways, so yeah for sure MID OCTOBER LATEST. There is no way in hell those reviews would go out without the following no more...

lol i think you might of been dreaming, they never said a "2" would have to do with the suprise. If anything they have said they are keeping a few suprises held back until the game is released. There is absolutely no way TF2 is the MP with HL2. As much as we all want to believe they would ship...

Uh no, actually that would be the best thing valve could do to promote their new highly inticipated game. They did with the original HL, why not the new one. I sure in hell hope they have a TF2 trailer on the disc, like on the EXTRAS menu option or something.

He's talking about the PCgameplay magazine or which ever one it is saying how valve still has a suprise in store for us. Although, it could be the HL:S and CS:S included or an actual themed MP, we'll see soon.

Figured I'd bump this for some people to read about TF2 since a lot of topics have been appearing lately. If the thread falls quickly, let it be, doesn't hurt the forum and shouldn't piss anyone off that this is thread is being brought back from the lost times.

www.fileplanet.com should have some. Yeah, I hope we find stuff out about TF2 in the HL2 box or they talk about it after HL2 is out, i want this game sooo bad. Most people really have no idea how much time valve has invested into making it absolutely amazing. I know it will take over the CS:S...
