Well I thought i had a good grasp on how to map but Valve once again has proved me wrong. I had some func_details that were trying to block off the map and after reading the sdk docs i found out that welll... you cant! Time to fix and complie. Thanks for your help again.

small thing to note.
When youre done you will have 2 copies of your map. One that the players will run around in and another that is 0.0625 the size that is ONLY what shall lie beyond the normal map in the skybox textures (from normal map). the mini-version of the map will have a sky_camera...
nice, yeah its a bit open but it has some nice touches. I counldn't ever figure out how to make those cameras and screens to work in CSS but i see that you used them, really cool. Now im going to add them to my map, ill post in this forum about them once i get to a good stable setting.
yeah the bushes in teh old map you could maze through them without much detection. and make sure a sound is created when you open teh fron tdoor, VERY IMPORTANT. Do you have the sewer?

yeah that works, i tied mine with a button through and entity_logic to enable it but im having problme with putting it out on command, it just times out and gives error when i command it to 'extinguish'
the texture is like NoBullets or something like that... just filter 'tools' and read.
as for glass... um filter for 'glass' and pick one or make one ;) or maybe add a 'blickLight' texture in front of a glass texture to make it seem really dark... i dont know, im just talking now...
