Must be incredibly bored....
The closest I've came is resorting to playing catch with another player in Overwatch... it was actually quite fun for 10 minutes! :P
I just finished the game, at last, I could never be bothered to play it (my internet connection has been down for 12 hours, so I've had to play a single player game of some sort :( ).
As for the game, it was a decent attempt, but on a number of occasions I found myself having to consult a...
Abe's Odyssee was great yeah, but thats cheating cos it had 3D accelerated elements :|
Anyway, nothing will ever surpass Sonic The Hedgehog in 2D Land :upstare:
Not sure about the sequel, but the first Truxton game is easily obtained for emulation on MAME or Sega Genesis. From the 'usual' places ;) , not sure about the legalities, probably technically illegal, but it is doing no-one any harm.
I didnt actually expect the Friends system to work in-game, I would have just liked it to show which servers my friends are playing in, so I can join them.
I also just got around to installing XFire, and what an excellent piece of software it is. I do hope Yahoo fail miserably in their...
Nope, never heard that one before....
Yeah, Aftermath would have been a good way to celebrate, but I'm sure Valve don't think along the lines of "well, it's one year since we released HL2, better mark it with an add-on pack release". :D
I am very intrigued, and may purchase it next month for something to play over Xmas (I hate Xmas :flame: ). Needed something other than FPS games to play, and this could fill that void. Will get the demo in the meantime ;)
On the plus side, I remember a couple of weeks back Valve announcing that they will be addressing the Friends system, so it shouldnt be too long before we get it working ;)
You have a point, I forgot to mention this. Ignition and Red Alert 2 both use the IPX protocol rather than the standard (nowadays) TCP. So obviously all machines running these games will need IPX installed, as it is not installed automatically within Windows as TCP is.
Once you've done this...
The games I find are the 'stickies' so to speak, as in they can always be agreed on, are :
Quake 3
Half Life : DM
Half Life 2 : DM
Serious Sam
Medal Of Honour : Allied Assault
Battlefield 2
Red Alert 2
GTA 2 - 'last' 2D version of GTA (the original was more fun, but it will not run on...
Eh??! The highest price for a stand-alone game (no extra hardware or whatever included) I have ever seen in the UK is £59.99, for both Sonic 3 and Donkey Kong Country 3...
I aint got a great card (9600XT 256MB), so I wasnt expecting a theatrical experience.
However, it looked worse, than HL2, which I find completely unacceptable.
You can pick up copies of the first 3 Quakes off eBay for peanuts.
Although you will not appreciate them nearly as much as you would when they were released, as they really were quite astonishing achievements. This is why I see Quake 4 as a huge disappointment, because I expected some level of...
Well said.
You have to decide what would you prefer, people. A big disappointment (like Doom 3/Quake 4) which is released on time, or the cream of PC gaming which gets delayed, in order to perfect it?
Stop criticising Valve for putting back release dates, and thank them for constantly...
