Can't Really see Portal, DotA, Episode 3, HL3 or CS2 as surprises, well maybe CS2, but the others are pretty much "expected" we just don't know when.
The surprises doesn't have to be games anyway, personally i've been hoping for music/tv/movies to be included in steam at some point.
They made this hype about CS2, saying that they've gone to Valve to find out the latest news on the Counter-Strike 2, obviously they didn't really "lie", but obviously everyone regarded it as atleast an confirmation of Counter-Strike 2.
When the show finally aired they talked about Episode 3...
Well hinted by Valve it's been suggested that Ubisoft's regional division each has a publishing rights for the game in that region.
Basically US Ubisoft wants their games on Steam, EU Ubisoft does not.
Yeah those prices are insane, i thought it was a typo because they had "&trade" in the title, leaving me to think that they might have set a price with VAT already added, but no :(
They also removed the &trade, so i'm guessing it is how it's supposed to be, well i won't be buying Call of Duty...
Well i guess that's something, but to be honest it was never a strong argument to begin with.
There's absolutely nothing wrong in requiring money for this, and especially not how in the context it was mentioned, it, if anything, more sounded like a deposit than it sounded a fee.
Hmm, that was only Ep2 right?
I've not been able, pre-OB release to download or use the 64-bit version, some Valve guy said he remembered something about it being AMD exclusive, but diluted pretty much puts that to rest.
I've tried everything, removed all games and redownloaded source...
When they make you unable to use portals on the ceiling you just have to use the floor.
Since the only thing i reckon you talk about(as i had absolutely no problems from there on) is the first part where you have to get over a gap and then get to a raised floor over a gap of goo.
In that...
Why gloat about it and subsequently encourage people to spam him?
He's a busy guy but he does respond to e-mails, lets not abuse his kindness on that, imo.
I don't think 1 million dollars is a lot at all, i agree with the comment Operational posted.
I could just as well go up to Valve and say i want to port your game to the mac, ok sure here's the source code and assets, and i leak the source code for Steam and HL2.
To me the 1 millions...
Nope, that's what i figured first, i think it has to do with the model animations, i guess that you can only fire if the model animation is in a certain way(charging) but since you can bug your model animations it appears like you're charging, but you move like you're not.
Atleast that would...
