PC Gamer UK has revealed that BioWare's Mass Effect will make its way to the PC a few months after its Xbox 360 release.
Now for only Gears of War to come to the PC as well (which I'm sure it will eventually).
Remedy's lead game designer who posts on Evil Avatar said that the quad cores are "helpful", but far from "necessary" for the game. He also said that the demo was NOT running on an SLI-configured PC, but on one nVidia GPU (he didn't say which one though so it's probably their DX10 card).
Also the game appears to have been optimized to run on QUAD core CPUs:

We will be seeing more of this game in the next couple of days at X06 in Barcelona.
Nice to see ya too Satch! :)
I don't just hang out over on the IGN Boards, I'm a VIP for IGN as I write newsstories for them occassionally.
And, yes, true to form IGN is late in posting the video. I apologize!
Anyway, there was a problem with the video's compression and it will be up...
IGN will debut the first truly public showing of Bioshock tonight. The 15 minute video is expected to be posted around 6:30pm Pacific time and is from the Xbox 360 build of the game.
I thought ya'll might like to see the nice collection of World in Conflict (upcoming WW3 RTS from the makers of Ground Control) in this thread. I gotta say that this is my most wanted game in 2007

I have just learned that the October issue of PC Gamer will have a singleplayer demo for Company of Heroes. This issue should be on the newsstands sometime this month (the current issue of PC Gamer has the Bioshock cover story). I don't know if this is a PC Gamer exclusive or if it will be...
According to the NPD Group sales stats (that do not take into account Steam sales), HL2:Ep1 was the #2 selling PC game in the US in June 2006 and was the #5 selling PC game in the US for the week ending July 8, 2006.
I'd say the game is doing just fine.

Eurogamer: Lost Coast was clearly a successful way of demoing and testing HDR and the commentary system. Do you plan to roll out more tech demos soon?
Gabe Newell: Yeah, we have a couple...

Gabe Newell: This year, yes.

There is quite a bit of symbolism/duality between HL2 and Ep1. Something tells me that Ep1 was a "symbolic" break in the nature of the HL2 universe because Ep2 looks nothing like we've seen from the HL universe to date.
Essentially, HL2:Ep3 will end the current "story arc" in the HL universe. The question is does that mean that it is the end of the HL2 story arc and the next will be HL3 or just this phase of the HL2 story.
