    I didn't change the model animation speeds at all. In that video you posted the zombies looked like they were moving twice as fast as they should. EDIT: Actually its hard to tell it could just be the video. Is it the brown jumping critters from the HL2 map that are bugging you the most?

    The maps are fullbright because the HL1 light values didn't seem to translate well to Source (too dark). Also the lights.rad included with HL:S was missing a bunch of textures that HOE uses. Sitting through long vrad compiles for 40 maps... not fun.

    Well the original suffered from friendly fire and poor pathfinding, which are both fixed in this version. Friendlies would shoot each other in the back and following NPCs would get stuck around corners. There's also a VGUI window for reading letters rather than dumping the text overtop the screen.

    Were the zombies moving as fast as it looked like in this video? They should be the slowest critters in the game. The animation speed should match the HL1 version since the fps is hardcoded for each animation sequence.

    Poison zombie is a donkey

    For Christmas I got a DVD player and a copy of Pirates of the Caribbean. In one scene Captain Jack Sparrow grabs a red-hot poker and burns a donkey's butt with it. The donkey's scream is the same scream as the poison zombie in HL2.
