Console to PC ports shouldn't exist.... But in this case, Halo was supposed to be a PC game, so I guess the PC community deserved to get it, just..... late....
I think the reflection gives a bug-like look to the Ant Lion, and I love it. But I fear it may be just another ''Lens Flare'', something that'll be overused.
If you CAN do it doesn't mean you MUST do it. But I trust Valve. As long as the combine soldiers aren't as shiny as this Ant Lion, it's ok.
It more or less disappear with the rest of Steam...
First, a dialogue box apears (Half-Lire requires a 420mb installation, will you continue? Yes or No), and when I press Yes, the box disappears, steam doesn't move. I can't click anthing on it, if I open anything (IE for exemple), Steam...
Well, the download screen didn't appear, but Steam did ''melt'' (unfreeze), and the HL logo lit up.
Now, I can't get past the ''Preparing...'' part, but it's said to be a bandwidth problem, so I'll wait a few days.
Yeah I guessed so...
Hi there, fellow soldier ;-)
By he way, Steam doesn't freeze, it just downloads Half-Life. I thought it froze because the ''Task manager'' said ''not responding''... and stuff... anyway thanks guys.
Since I installed the new Steam Client, every time I try tu run the original Half-Life (or any 3rd party mod that requires the original Half-Life), I'm asked to install 420mb of stuff I already have, at which point steam freezes (after agreeing to install the said software).
Should I...
I first feared this may be just like Lens Flare, a nice-looking effect that serves no real purpose because the human eye is not a camera (have you ever seen a lens flare effect without a camera?), but after reading, it makes sense, and it souds like it has a great potential.
So, if I understand well, you will be able to either (among others) buy a regular HL2 (With Multiplayer and MODs) like any other game, or pay a monthly subscription and get all (or some) of the upcoming Valve softwares.
I don't see why people complain...
If it would have been for HL1, the...
40 days ago I had a Pentium II 350 mHz with a GeForce2 MX 440 (and other stuff...), So a 2gHz with a Radeon 9800 (especially the Radeon 9800) is not something you'd get free in a cracker jack box. Yet.
Blame capitalism...
Where there's money to make, money is made. Where there's no money to make, they try to make money out of it anyway and, more often than not, they succeed.
Maybe I should read the SteamPowered forums first, but I tought I'd ask..
Only the people who purchased Valve products (Half-Life, CS, DoD...) will be able to download the new vids through steam?
Will the beta still be available and updated for people without Valve softwares?
I guess...
Toastmasters are for n00bs who don't give a **** about what's in their toaster as long as it works. I can build myself a better toaster for half the price.
Anyway, toastmasters produce so much heat it's a pain in the ass to overclock.
Oddly enough, ever since I installed that cooling...
