I always was and still am of the school of sentiment that since first I played it, Half-Life is a deeply imposing and frightening game. From the quiet moods of the game that may allude a headcrab or two impending along the horizon to the piercing, terrible cry of the roaring Gargantua that...
The G-Man, easily. He has an ineffably other worldly and commanding nature that is complimented well by his subtly, low-morose tone that borders on cryptic. Michael Shapiro knows what he's doing when he voices him. In a way, I never want to know who the G-Man is... otherwise, the impact behind...
Half-Life; I'm pretty much in agreeance with 57210788. It was mysterious, commanding, and groundbreaking at the time, and basically set the bar for shooters to come. Whilst Half-Life 2, as is obvious and arguable, is a more impressive game, it's a sequel and uses the foundations of the original...

We kind of waited for Episode 1 for what, over 1 year? Not a stride from 2 interminate years? Because VALVe delays said expansion pack, as well as Team Fortress 2, Portal, the PS3/Xbox 360 ports and what have you, we suddenly...
Half-Life as a movie would ruin VALVe's initial design.
However, Half-Life, it's expansion packs, and Half-Life 2 would utterly make perfect books to read! :D
Scientist 1: Have you been able to get the beverage machine to work yet?
Scientist 2: I couldn't even venture a guess.
Otis: Man, how much worse can it get!
Scientist: Shut-up!
This issue is obviously due to conflicts and slot placed sound and video cards. The more powerful the video card and sound card, the more stuttering.
Not to mention IRQ conflicts, as well as Creative's nifty way of utilizing the hell outta your system resources even when the sound card itself...
