You know, when you start the game. As it loads, the scene slowly un-blurs.
The first time I played, the title screen was of the City 17 main square.
The next time, it was an awesome river scene where a helicopter swooped by.
And now, for the last 4 times I've booted, it's been...
Oh, sweet, sweet Half Life 2, come to me...
Tomorrow, hoping against all hope, I will be at CompUSA and give it the Harvard Attempt. Then, most likely, I will leave a trail of bitter tears.
Waah.
Yep. I'm annoyed, but life goes on and we'll get the game in a month and a half. I'm not going to let the delay rule my life...so I'll be back to the forum in about a month.
Heh. "The people you're trying to step on, we're everyone you depend on. We're the people who do your laundry and cook your food and serve your dinner. We make your bed. We guard you while you sleep. Don't **** with us." ;)
If you must call, don't be a spaz about it. Politely ask if the game is delayed or if the 9/30 release is still on. And clarify steam/shelf release. Just ask about the US release....it's useless to confuse things even further with the international stuff.
From another, closed thread:
It is currently 10:06pm on the West Coast. Not quite bedtime, but far from normal business hours. For any sort of official confirmation/denial/ignoring, we'll have to wait another 8 hours at the bare minimum (6:00am PST), but probably more like 11 hours...
What's this "going" business?
I can hardly concentrate on anything else until it's released or there's an official announcement or there's PROOF one way or the other.
I'm going to see Radiohead - RADIOHEAD - tomorrow, but I can't work up any enthusiam for it, because it's already invested...
