My "suspicions" of Barney were not intended to be any more than playful. He's obviously not evil.

Random theory, hopefully false Barney was disguised as combine overwatch at the start of HL2, was present when the teleporter went wrong and just plain absent in Episode 2. Hell, in HL2 he could have given us a gun instead of the crowbar. Has Barney done anything else suspicious?
