Half life 1 Gmod?

I just wanted to know If there is a gmod for
Half Life 1
Plz answer

Afraid not. Gmod is source only.

With Half-Life: Source; maybe. But that's a big maybe. I never been able to get any Half-Life 1 maps to work right with Garry's Mod. Just to go on the side of caution, I advise going to places like fpsbanana.com or garrysmod.org and look for custom maps or use Half-Life Source DM maps.

And gmod uses stuff that is only possible in games using the Source-engine. The Quake Engine is way less advanced so gmod wouldn't be able to do much with it.

Half-life Source only looks a little better. The water looks better. Other than that it's the same. But games like Half-life 2 obviously looks alot better than Half-life 1.

Significantly for HL2. HL1 Source is just Half-life with some shiny extras any not much else. The old engine you must appreciate was about when you were still in nappies. The Source engine is only a few years old (and being updated all the time). It supports the real time physics that Garry's Mod is built on. You don't get anything even close to that in Half-life 1.

Closest thing to GMod on HL1 engine is Ent Mod. You can do quite a lot, actually. My sister used to spend all day in a Sven Coop server building shit.

I agree with vegeta, joining an Ent Mod enabled server when you have no privelages sucks though.

SvenCoop.com has guides on setting up a dedicated server with entmod.

nothing happens.The doors dont open.

I've heard of that glitch before, but it normally is fixed by a restart. If you have the Steam version try verifying your files.

1) Go to Steam's website and download Steam.
2) Install Steam.
3) Load-up Steam and wait for it to update.
4) From the top-menu bar choose Games > Add a product on Steam
5) Enter the CD Key for your copy of HL1.
6) Under "My Games", right-click Half-Life 1 and choose "Install Game..."
7) It will download Half-Life 1 and once it's finished, right-click it, and choose "launch"

ok, I just got gmod 8 for half life 2
but I dont know how install mods on it because on ever single mod I get
it says on the readme to extract it to put it in
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\gmod
or sumthing like that and my pc only goes up to
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps
can someone help???

Why Gmod 8? You can download 9. But I'd certainly recommend getting Gmod 10. It's only like 5GBP ($10)
