1.12 screwed up my BF2

When I try and log in to my account the game just freezes at the login screen, there's the contacting server... (or whatever that was) message but the main game screen never loads. I try and Ctrl-Alt-Del but my computer doesn't respond so I have to power off manually. The background music still continues playing though, so I don't think it's causing my computer to hard lock. Never had this problem before the patch.

Firstly do you have SF?

If so, it will have reverted to v 1.10, and you will have to repatch to 1.12

Otherwise, just do a nice clean uninstall of BF2 and reinstall then patch

Nope, I don't have SF. And yeah, I suppose I'll try a reinstall.

My previous version before patching was 1.03, in case that helps.

Well it probably has nothing to do with the 1.12 patch. The EA account verifying servers were down yesterday.

It has happend before, but I guess by chance you never tried to log on those days untill. In any case try to log on now and see if it works.
