I believe you used the word I was aiming for in your first post in this thread. Irony, I posted this thread with that in mind, and I stand by it. I was also fully expecting to have to start my postcount again, but it seems that neither HotSoup nor Munro have seen this thread.

Why would I seriously brag about having 1000 posts when there are people on my staff who, if they received a pound for every post they made, would be on a higher salary than 80% of this board?

You know there is this thing called Cause and Effect...

You make a post "jokingly" saying you finally reached 1000 post...then people see and think "oh a mod is bragging about his post count!?!?!" which in turn makes everyone wonder why he took away this guys post count for doing the same and so on and so on.

I think the whole point here is this is a "zerimski rule" not a hl2.net rule to reset the post counts as a laugh , so you cant expect him to enforce a rule that doesnt even exist. You dont need your post count so well it doesnt matter. It disturbs me that people take this so seriously :\

Actually I'm hoping Munro takes away postcounts again, all they do is make the more frequent posters feel like they can talk down to the less-frequent posters. The titles though (headcrab, hydra, ect) are cool though.

no offense but if this was posted by a non-staff member...someone not so well known, the user's post count would be reset and thread more than likely closed.

like i said before, i don't have a problem with Zerimski (infact Zerimski is cool) or this thread but i don't tolerate double standards and u as well as anyone else here knows if it was another person how the situation would have been dealt.

edit: oh..and i may or may not like Zeus, but u can't blame him for being just a little teed off...whatever im not part of the staff and i am glad i am not dealing with this.

Just some silly rule that's not mentioned anywhere in the rules and that I had no prior knowledge of. They (most likely) knew it was a joke, but they "had to" dish out the punishment "so it was fair for everyone else". I really couldn't care either way, I just think it's silly how they're trying to write it off as a joke, when anyone else would have been reset even if they were just trying to be funny.
