lolol it's funny reading the posts by people that still can't figure this out. It's really quite simple you know. They release it at X universal time, everyone gets it at X time. Timezone doesn't matter, they don't need your ip, they don't need to check your clock. Every gets it at the same time. The same time.

I wonder what happens if someone inserts a retail HL2 CD-KEY into steam early. You know, some gameshop clerk takes a copy from the fresh HL2 delivery a few days in advance, inserts the key in steam, and BLAM! Turns out he is the first in the world to insert it, and steam detects it's the first early retail copy and acts accordingly: all the purchased steam preloads all over the world become unlocked at that exact instant.

Would be kewl, wouldn't it?

HHAAHAHAH!! I work in a department store that'll have HL2!! And i work in the stock room!!!! WOOOOO!! I wont steal a copy though ofcourse, I'll just hunt it down and admire the box and etc! OMG it's almost here!
