Fizard!

yea the animation seemed kind of awkward like off balance.

like unessesary also becuase he was doing more damage with the sword

regardless this game is going to be the shit dude. seems like they are still working on the fighting mechanics. (maybe in elder scrolls 5) Its about 10 times better looking fighting mechanics than morrowind though :D

and morrowind was addictive and fun for a while anyway

I don't think they'll change the Morrowind formulae too much, for despite its awfulness it still built up quite a large following. For the life of me I can't understand why though. Sure, it was highly moddable, but none of the mods could really change the game mechanics in any drastic way, which in my opinion was boring and broken.

What about the mod that completely revamped combat?
Or the mod that added over 200 new types of enemies and placed them well throughout the entire morrowind world? Without mods I wouldn't play morrowind. It's choppy at times and the combat is lame. Gets boring to fast without mods. They add entire new islands to explore, dungeons to sneak through, added more spells, more character types, just a massive improvement.

Very wrong, all the combat has been completely revamped, the level format has been revamped, etc...

These are old screenies...

You clearly have had a bad experience with Morrowind, and that's fair enough - it's one of those games that has generated fans and haters in equal measure. Out of sheer curiosity, what games do you class as being great games?

To be quite honest when I buy a game I expect interesting content to be included. Patches are one thing but having to download masses of content in order to make a game interesting is completely out of order. I can deal with bugs, what I can't deal with is bad game design. As you mention it I did happen to give Morrowind a second chance. I went on the internet to look for some content to see if I could make it interesting. What did I find? Most of it didn't work because I needed the expansion packs. Other than that the additional areas required you to be quite deep into the game, the game became mind numbingly boring before I got anywhere close to the end. The rest of it was just additional armours and such. Wow, great stuff /sarcasm. Can you blame me for being put off the game entirely? Why should I go forking out more money and downloading megabytes of content when there are plenty of other games out there more worthy of my attention.

In my great games list are: Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Doom, Quake, Fallout, Fallout 2, PlaneScape: Torment (real RPGs), Final Fantasy, Quite a few.

Well I guess you just don't like the Morrowind style gaming. Maybe Oblivion revamped enough for you, maybe it hasn't.

Anyway, whatever.
