This was all in good fun, let the story begin!
A friend and I were playing CZ on a public server, after a little while, we got rather bored. He had an idea, create a bogus clan with a ridiculous tag/member names, join a real clan server with alot of its members on, and try to recruit people.
The tag we decided on? {1337_501|)13r5}-, and I'd use the name KILLER777, him PWN4G3, and another friend KILLERX. So, we find a server, and we join it.. to our surprise, alltalk was on
This made the process much more enjoyable and fun. Basically, I stayed quiet, but my friend went on his microphone and basically mouthed off the entire game. The clan and their server, KoK, would soon learn of our annoying attitudes
It started innocently enough, "ANYONE WANT TO JOIN THE LEET SOLDIERS!? WE'RE MORE ELITE THAN YOU'LL EVER BE!" "PUT THE TAG ON!" "CLAN KOK, YOU GUYS SUCK!" "WE'RE MORE LEET THAN YOU!" It went on like this for a bit, until they started to mock my friend, calling him a hill billy, telling him to shut up, etc. He responded by being even louder and more obnoxious..
After a few minutes of annoying the clan, he decided to repeatedly ask for a scrim. Now, we only had 3 members, they had 6 on. We kept saying those odds were fair, but they didn't want to play. Slowly but surely, we started to get random people to put the tag on. One of the people took it 100% seriously, and said "I'll be back later, see you guys!" Anyhow, so the map time was drawing to an end, and suddenly Evil Beaver dropped in. He followed me, right before this, however, they agreed to a scrim. We were to use 2 pubbies, but I insisted on using Evil Beaver as one of our 5. After a lengthy game on de_dust_cz, it went to de_dust2_cz.
It switches to dust2, and we play around for a bit. Finally, we get it all worked out, the final roster is myself, beaver, 2 friends and a random person on our team, vs 5 of their clan members. It seemed innocent enough, the leader seemed like a nice enough guy. So, he sets a server password, and kicks everyone except those playing.
Now, here's where it all goes downhill. He first mentions that he doesn't have calconfig.cfg, that's fine. None of us care, this is off the record and we're a joke clan, anyway. It starts off horribly, the server admin doesn't know how to use sv_restart 1 (he claimed his server didn't have the plugin, even though it's a variable built into CS), so he changes the map back to dust2.. fair enough. However, before everyone has joined, I kill one of my allies, thinking it's a dead round. To my surprise, they said "LIVE" and played it out as normal. We lost that round. We lost the second round, as well. On the third round, 3 of our 5 bought shields, and we destroyed them. They complained that shields are taboo in scrims, and proceed to slay 3 of 5 of my teammates the following round. Again, we lose this round.
At the end of the first half, the score was 5-7, in their favor. Admist all of this, they continue to mock us saying we suck, and what not. So we switch sides, and low and behold, the server admin uses sv_restart 1! Oh my, I guess his server DOES have it! We put our game faces on. Before this, we weren't using any real strategies, and just kind of running around, like chickens with our heads cut off. Such is why we lost the first half, really. That and the pistol round fiasco..
So the second half plays out like it SHOULD, live on 3. To our surprise, the random public player had left, leaving us with 4 players for most of the second half. Anyhow, the match goes live, and we all rush long a. We win the round, and 2 rounds following that. We lose the next, win the next, and lose the next. So here we are, 5-2, we need 8 wins to win.
Once we hit 7 wins, I proclaim to my teammates "1 more and we win," so we win a round. We're all "woohooo, we won! These guys suck.." We decide to play it out, and after we win the following round, making the score 9-2 (overall 14-9), the opposing clan leader says.. "gg." We all say exchange our "ggs," and then he says "we tied."
Now, here's where I went absolutely insane. The curses were a flying, how stupid can you be? They seemed to know atleast HOW a scrim worked, but they thought the match plays out by match halves? No sir, my dearest friend, it's all about ROUND wins. Which we clearly dominated in. So, I'm pretty much proclaiming how much of a moron the clan leader is.. he ends up slaying me, after repeating over and over that it's a tie and we're all morons. I closed CS, but my teammates played one more round, which they still won despite most of us being slayed.
We all meet on AIM, and pretty much laugh at how sad that a non-existant clan recruited random people on the opposing clan's server, and how we scrimmed and won a match, and they didn't understand how it was supposed to work.
So, in the end, I decided.. hey! I'll make a supposed website! Now, for a majority of the afforementioned maps, we were playing it out as though we were absolute morons. We had no spaces in our names, and they were in caps with 1337 mixed in. Following that trend, I crafted the following page to represent our "clan"
