16 Dead/11 Churches Burned

how about you go and try to find an islamic website that in anyway degrades or makes fun of jesus christ himself (Don't get this confused with their degradation of what christians believe about Jesus christ).

Is it really so hard to beleive that most christians take jesus more lightely than most muslims do? Jesus is one of the most satired figures in modern times. His name is even used as a curse, how many times have you said jesus christ when you've heard something disagreeable?

And what does it matter if there are no islamic websites that make fun of jesus? What does that have to do anything? You made a very BOLD, idiotic statement that muslims appreciate and respect Jesus more than Christians do, Christians whom believe Jesus to be the son of god, and in essence god himself.

You made a totally baseless, factless statement which reeks of bullshit. What makes you think that the satire of Jesus comes from christians themselves? Serious christians, serious christian organizations, I don't see them making fun of Jesus. I personally sometimes say Jesus Christ in a bad way, but that just happens to be because I let another swear word slip into my vocabulary. Its not used to disrespect and degrade the name, and its not in itself a swear word, but the way it is used.

I don't think you understand that saying "Jesus Christ" is not swearing, its invoking the name of god against a situation that shouldn't warrant it.

I still don't see where you prove that christians make fun of their god more than muslims do. I don't even see why it has to be a point. Why do you have to say something so rediculous as that, just to pit two religions together in something that doesn't matter? Muslims see Jesus as a prophet, simply put. Christians see Jesus as the son of god. Nowhere should that have anything to do with making fun of him.

Noone here said that Muslims make fun of Jesus more than Christians make fun of Jesus, because there's no basis for an argument here, why are you trying to make one? You're just trying to get a rise out of people.

Now, I could understand if you said something like, Christians make fun of Jesus more than Muslims make fun of Mohammed. But what you said makes NO SENSE.

And i'm starting to not make sense, because i'm rambling.

Im not trying to start a fight. I merely pointed out, to someone who had previously posted, that muslims would not burn your flag and kill you if you said jesus christ. I also pointed out, that muslims have not only respect for the prophet mohammed, but all abrahamic religious figures contained in scripture. Furthermore, I brought into light that (and wait for the word here) GENERALLY christians take jesus more lightheartedly then muslims take jesus.

Now, considering that Im talking on general terms. Wouldnt you agree that GENERALLY, christians tend to take Jesus more light heartdly then muslims do?

It's not swearing, however, it does taint the title of jesus when it is used so liberally. For example, god can no longer retain his position when people run around saying OMGGGGGG at the most trivial of things. When everyone goes around saying Jesus Christ at the most trivial things, it trivialises his name.

And if you do say jesus christ in a bad way (as we all have some time in our lives), then you have disrespected and degraded his name, even if it wasnt done intentionally. If jesus wasnt taken so lightheartedly, then using the term jesus chirst so light heartedly wouldnt be tolerated.

No, I wouldn't say that at all. Depends on what you mean light hearted. Christians are as devoted to their religion and god(which Jesus is in essence the Christian god), just as much as Muslims are devoted to theirs.

You also seem to forget that most Christians take offense if it is used. Its not something taken lightly for the most part. Its also not Christians who are the ones who say that most of the time... its other people, because the swear has gone into mainstream a LONG time ago. I personally feel great remorse anytime I accidentaly say it.

Raziaar, it's debatable that Muslims are more respectful towards Jesus than Christians. Personally, I call BS, because I'm against making sweeping generalizations. However, the part about Muslims bearing respect for Christ is true. After all, in the Muslim doctrine, Muhammed is the latest prophet- not the only one.

I didn't deny Muslims respect Christ. Thats not what he was saying. He was saying Muslims respected christ more than the followers of the religion based around christ.

yeah, thats one of the biggest BS statements many muslims get "taught".
Its simple because the whole key for Islam on how it was started is Muhammed claiming "christians" were liars and they changed the word of god.
Put a little cream on top by saying Islam respects and honors Christ more than Christians do and you've got a nice attempt to pwn christians lol.

Ofcourse its bs by the simple fact that Islam sees Christ as a regular messenger/prophet ( they do repect him but not even as the most important prophet), and Christians see Christ as the son of god and worship Christ... Kind of pwns that statement imo.

That is incorrect. Islam holds that jesus is a representitive of god, as is all his profits.
Jesus went corporate?

yea, thats right sulkodds, jesus went corporate along time ago. Think about christmas for chirssake.

The christians I know must be very different from the ones you know raziaar. From my experience, by comparing the christians and the muslims I know, I get the impression that muslims seem to respect jesus more than christians do.

World War 3: Triggered by a newspaper cartoon depicting Mohammed?...

I think there is no argument anymore. The western world and the Islamic world are on a direct cultural collision course and there is no sign of either side veering away. Either thousands are going to die from various forms of violence or the Western world is going to yield to cultural demands of the Islamic world. At least that is what I see happening at the moment.
Wait till the oil runs out. Just sit back and watch the countries descend in barbarism as such a crucial part of their economies vanishes.
