so, has anyone played it? its quite fun. the only trouble is theres limits to where you can leave the screen :/ i love the way that when you both get in a car one can shoot out of the car and the other can drive :p now if only i had a freind round :/

for those of you that dont know, 2 player mode can be acessed by collecting a 2 player pickup, when you have 2 controllers attached. you can run around anywhere as long as you stay close to each other (so no slpit screen then), and player 2 can choose a character to play as, which is good. at the moment im driving to the skscraper, and we're (meaning me and my second controller) are gonna parachute together :p

anyway, just talk about the things you could do in 2 player... the potential... i wanna fly a plane while my freind jumps out :D unfortunately it counts as a mission, so you cant do missions with a freind :/ maybe they might include a LAN option for the PC version.. that would rock :D
 
LOL this is so fun :D

im controlling two characters (CJ and an OAP) and we were cruising down the motorway ( with the OAP trying to shoot stuff, but you really cant shoot and drive with two controllers at once lol ) when i decided that we would catch a plane. so we went to the airport ( and both of us jumped over the fence while being shot at by gang members lol , the OAP almost died :p ) and ran to a plane.

but the plane only olds one person. so what did i do? i made the OAP drive, and CJ stand on top LOL. so im flying about right now, with CJ just standing on the plane ROFL! this is too fun :p now imagine what it would be like with a freind round :)

*edit* ROFL i just gained altitude, then diod a nose dive and flicked CJ really high up, then he fell down and landed on the VERY edge of the plane rofl :D one cm more and he'd be a dead man

*edit2* darn CJ fell off :( i tried to stop the plane, and i managed to get it hovering, then it started to fall down and CJ fell to his doom. then the plane fell on him and blew up. it looked funny though ;)
 
Where do you get the parachute from? Is it a mission?
 
You can get one from the top of mt. Chiliad.

Hey suicide, any other places where you can get the 2player thingy?
 
i got the parachute from a skyscraper in downtown los santos... its a circular one. in the diagram for the 2 player thing, look where the green cross ( the marker ) is... THATS the building you get the parachute from.

and i done know where the are, but im sure there are loads of 2 player missions.
 
Does the two player mission have an objective? Just to screw around? What if the second player dies? How do you quit the mission?

Might as well check it out myself, just playing the game ;)
 
basically, there is no objective other than to mess around. if either of the players die, the game will go back to before you started the mission, and CJ will still have all the items he had before the mission.

the only trouble is you have to stay in the screen... and you have limited controls. i would have preffered it if it was split screen, so you could do whatever you want- but then again i suppose the PS2 would have to handle twice as much. its a welcome addition though :)
 
Can't find the damn pickup there. Where exactly is it?
 
It must be really awkward trying to stay in the screen together, I don't think Rockstar thought the two player feature through properly.

Yes they did. The Ps2 can't handle anything as it is.
 
if you cant find it search around there... that was where my blip was, but i couldnt see very well. keep looking, its a red power up.

and this is the maximum the PS2 could handle.. anything else, and the framerate would be going at 5FPS evern if you were looking at a wall.

i guess it falls to the PC to herald the multiplayer optiion.. though i doubt rockstar would do it. co-op would own :)
 
Was it on top of a building or just on the pavement or something?
 
it was in some ruined houses, just in the middle of them. cant really describe it very well... just search around that area. its on the floor.
 
I'm sorry, but this is just too fun. It just adds a whole new element of hilarity to the game. Stealing a train with two people - one driving, one riding shotgun on the back trailers is absolutely fantastic... especially when you derail.
 
Ah man, I can't find it and it's so annoying. It's in a house? I feel like a noob. The spot you pointed is close to the big road and there's the hospital next to it, I think. I've searched amongst the little houses near the place but nothing.I don't get what you mean by 'ruined houses'

Maybe it only shows up if there are 2 controllers plugged in?
 
The 2player pickup is south of the location pointed by suicide.

edit: Damn, think my second controller doesn't work so well. Can't jump, can't enter a vehicle with it. But if I switch the controllers' places, the one in the second port doesn't work. And how do you quit hte mission? Every time i go far away or get wasted or busted I just get the mission again. AARGH
 
2 Player Directions
1.Go to Smokes house
2.Turn right towards the bridge
3.Go down the street on the left of the bridge
4.You will see a white alamo looking house
5.Go inside and jump the fence
 
About midway through the missions with Denise, it comes up saying she really likes you and you get her car keys, you also get a 2 player icon on her doorstep.
 
I just played with my brother in the San Fierro location
Its really easy to find (as long as wu zi mu is still a job-giver)

Its just the opposite side of the W letter icon, you drive and your friend guns

I played it with my brother, it was a LOT of fun, its like a GTA3 rampage...but way better
 
Hmm, it seems you are able to drive all the way to San Fierro even though you are playing MP in Los Santos. I flew all the way over the LV too, only to be shot down by a jet :( Its really fun though, always a laugh.
 
anyone have the odd bug on 2 player where if CJ gets in a car, and when the whole him getting into the car sequence has finished player 2 cant get into the car? its bloody annoying. other then that its so so so much fun.

Yea, but it seems that my player 2 can't even jump or anything!
