Id say waiting on the line for 17 hours with my feet wet in the freezing cold grants me how ever many i want. And its not like i got 2. My friend waited with us just so i can get a 2nd.

Actually, Microsoft is the reason for the shortages
They could have easily got more out to people in the first batch, but they slowed production down.

Source? You do need to remember that M$ had a 3 week window for launching in USA, Europe, and Japan (with Japan getting the most Xbox360's and they aren't even buying them! ) and so they had to save up for those launches...

When i buy 2 and sell one doesnt another person get it? How does people buying 2 make shortages. And if i had 2 people wait myself and a friend to actually buy them its fair. We still had 2 people wait for it, just i get to keep my friends, thats all.

I don't know who to be more annoyed at: Microsoft for not making enough consoles to meet demand; people who don't play games buying them (or store owners not even putting them on shelves) just to put them on eBay; or the people who are willing to pay through their ass to get them off eBay.

There are thousands of 360's on eBay. If you refuse to pay £600 for them, they won't sell for £600.

Yeh, I got mine by wating in line, But if you choose to buy one on ebay that is your choice. I think it is absolutely insane to pay double the price for somthing that is going to be comming back out for many people before or after x-mas.

I wouldn't take a 360 if someone gave it to me for free. I'd give it to some poor gamer that is actually impressed by it. I know I'm not. I got to play around with my friend's for a while. What a let down. I hear Xbox fans heaping praise on it. I just don't get it. I can't believe someone would drop 500 bucks for one or feel the need to have more than one. To each their own I guess. Hopefully the people who got it, like it.

Maybe they released it as they did so that they would have time to make improvments on it as well as gain an edge in the market by releasing it early. I mean come on, they will have 4 months of downtime before they release again, so that will be some time to make improvments.
