Hello, I am MagMower, the 2030 Mod Teams Spokesperson. We are currently recruiting members for our mod. Here is a snipet from the mod description:
We have many openings, in many different areas, and help is appreciated. The Following positions are available:
Texture Artist: Requires experience in texturing in the Source Engine. Responsibilities are: creating unique textures for the mod and managing .wad files for the mappers. References are required but if it's more convenient, you may send in jpeg or gif format.
Player Modeler: Experience is required. This is where you will make models for the various friendly and enemy characters.
Mapper: Some experience in hammer is required. You will work to complete the single player part of this mod first, then shift the focus to multiplayer mapping. You will work closely with the Story Mappers.
Coders: It is preferred that the coders have experience and either know or are willing to learn how to put together a singleplayer mod (which we're working on before Multiplayer) together. However, if you are new to coding and are interested in joining a mod, we will consider taking you and possibly put you in an environment with other coders so you may learn how to code and potentially provide us with what we need for multiplayer later on.
Modeler: These people will model props (doors, signs), architecture (doorway, buildings), weapons (guns), and other random things that are needed to make the mod look original. Experience is recommended.

2030 is a mod set 24 years in the future. Our mod will feature both singleplayer and multiplayer game modes but currently, we are working on singleplayer.
Singleplayer will feature a well balanced storyline of innocence, death, corruption, and war while maintaining a futuristic setting not unreasonable for such a small window of time.
After a nuclear explosion destroys Baltimore in the year 2026, citizens of the United States panic and demand answers. In the following years, the A.I.P.S. bill (Autonomous-Intelligence Protective System) is passed by Congress. This bill forms a new police force and institutes the use of cameras, listening devices, databases, and security stations throughout the country.
Aside from the government's force, two other factions were left unresolved; the corporations and civilians. After the AIPS bill was passed, the corporations organized and formed the Corporate Alliance, a military and economic partnership.
These Corporate Enclosures opposed AIPS jurisdiction, the Patriot Act and the placement of any AIPS equipment within them. The posh, luxurious enclosures then took up defensive positions. Tensions rise to the point where it seems that a war is imminent. With oil supplies dwindling, power scarce and walled Corporate enclosures breaching the sovereignty of the United States , war seems inevitable.
