2067 is a multiplayer mod that actually has no storyline, instead focusing on arcade-style gameplay. The locations mentioned thus far are Earth, Mars, Spacestations, and Earth's Moon. They released a few model renders and map shots recently, here are a couple.[br]

[br]They are in the process of building a new website, but if you are interested in learning more and communicating with the team, visit their forums by clicking here.

We are now hiring.

- Texture Artists, able to create level textures.

- Mappers, able to do high quality maps.

- Character skinner, able to create good player skins etc.

Our website is currently being created, but in meantime you can contact me by email or by our forums Help Wanted section, if you are
interested.

Hmmmm, I like how you are focusing on gameplay, but I still think you should have style and atm you don't seem to have a style along the lines of the year you have choosen. Unless that isn't a year and its just a random number. I don't know but things have to look right visually and at the moment they seem a little random.

Grenade 6/10
Map 7/10 (nice atmosphere)
Shotgun 7/10

What do things look like in 2067 then?

2067 is a year, We dont have much of style as you said. But we are going to mix the speed of quake, unreal tournament with the damage/aiming system i counter-strike...

I hope you aren't modding off CSS. You really ought to test maps in HL2/HL2DM as it's closer to the final result. :)

Yeah, i know nothing about that part. Its our mapper that chose that way of modding :)

Well I know that weapons 70 years ago looked a lot different than they do today. So.... its pritty much common sense that you won't have current day weapons. I also think they are losing an oppertunity to be creative. As he said he wants to add atributes from quake3 etc... and if you have ever played quake 3 to a certain standard you would realise your weapons do a lot more than just kill. Using bullets for these such things would be well..... stupid.

Oh and its a good idea to map for hl2 rather than cs:s.

Is this the 2067 where all weapons are manufactured by one sinister megacorporation, and all have a similar identity?

Or is it the post-apocalyptic 2067, where there's a whole variety of weapons, going from 20th century all the way through to pre-apocalypse "future" weapons?

Weapons 70 years were indeed vastly different to today's. It doesn't necessarily follow that weapons 70 years down the line will do the same. It's far more likely that they'll just be evolutions of current weaponry - pyrotechnic ballstics.

No-one can say either way, so there's no valid criteria to judge their style on.

Also i should tell you, we are not doing this project to make a perfect game. We are doing this to learn more about game development etc and to prove that we are able to create an whole modification by ourselves.

You mean "to learn stuff about making mods and being able to tell people 'lookie here, we did something pretty cool! I mean, yeah, you probably won't want to play it for long, but it's actually a full modification that we made ourselves!'". I don't mean to put you down, I'm telling you to set the bar higher, try to make something people will really like.

Yes, but if we would just want to do some stuff to brag for people, we would'nt do our best or ?. We are really doing our best with skins, models and stuff. Ive been redoing alot of the skins just to make it better. Also the character modell is being remade. 50 % of it's going to be new just to get it as good as we can. And a good and fun game doesnt need a long nice story or be any realistic. Take Unreal Tournament or Quake for example those games are far from realistic and they dont have any story but still one of them were the most popular game few years ago ( Quake 3 ).

i don't see why ya woud post a screen of a map with messed up lighting :$

i really think that the mapper should add a cubemap as its one of the most primary things for mapping on the source engine, without them maps looks like ass. If your mapper doesn't know this, i recommend that you atleast get a mapper with more experience to help your current mapper(s).

Well, that map is far from finished and those lamps are not the original that we will use. I have no idea why Azlan choosed that image :)
