Just saw the first 4 episodes of twenty four on DVD in a row, didnt know it was THAT good and addictive. I thought id try it out to see what all the hype had been about when it was on TV; now I see...:)

3 more seasons for you to see, enjoy the ride, you are going to like it

I heard season 2 is crap. I saw 3 and 4. Really big twist at the end of 4.

Season 2 was fun to watch, though 1 is still the best. It's been progressively getting worse and worse with each season, but still good.

I think its gettin better each season, im on the last disc of season 3 at the moment...its all just brilliant, season 1 is amazingly good and the rest are too, i wish i could go back and watch season 1 all over again without knowing anything :)

I started my 24 addiction just like you did. All I heard was each ep was 1 hour and the season was 1 day and it was supposed to be good. I picked up the first disc and I was roped in.

I liked every season equally :D ok...not really but I can't decide which I liked the best. Each has their strengths and weaknesses.

You've got quite the trip ahead of you. Amazing show. I love it because they don't mess around. They don't really follow the rules of a normal tv show.

They don't mess around?!

My god, Kim and Chloe are both little shit starters!
Like in season 3 I think, Chloe brings in a baby, and of course Kim HAS to question where she got it, and thus starts a bunch of shit.
Then there's Tony and Michelle, god... CTU shouldn't be a place for personal problems...
Although, Elisha Cuthbert is really hot... Just too damn annoying on the show.

Well I worded that poorly. The writers of this show don't mess around.

BIG SPOILERS:
They aren't afraid to kill of characters - Jack's wife, Chappelle, Mason, Gaille (sp?), and more. Knowing that any character could die makes the show that much more intense

yeah the season 1 was better not just for be the first one

I saw all episodes (hours) of season 1 and 2 and now I watch season 3 and its really good.
Jack Bauer - sucks
Nina Myers - rocks

I've watched 24 on DVD as im usually away when its on tv. Season one was great, a personal story...whereas season 2 was more global, great stuff. Im partway through season 3 seems good so far! :)

Elisha Cuthbert is so NOT hot in 24. She's much hotter in the movies. I think the hair and her utter bitchiness ruins it.

I didn't like the way she looked in Season 3...but it's inevitable that she's gonna look better in the movies (especially a movie where she's a porn star :p).

I started watching Season 1 when it was re-shown on BBC1 recently, 3 episodes every Friday. I was hooked, and I've been watching it ever scince. Even though It hasn't finished yet (I think theres 3 or 4 episodes for me to watch), I bought the Season 2 DVD and watched it all. I love it. Every bit of it.

Didn't know this many people liked 24. o_O

I used to get all my friends to come over every Monday and watch 24.

i want bear powers! <random as hell, and funny. click it!> xlucidx sig

Oh, it spoils the ending of Season 1 if you've seen Season 2.

I used to enjoy 24, but I think I've reached my limits. I've watched seasons 1 to 3 and although I accept that some suspension of disbelief comes with the territory, it's beginning to wear thin.

People constantly making stupid mistakes for the sake of drama, consorting people they know DAMN WELL they shouldn't be consorting with, gaps in logic, far too many personal issues, the narrow misses (you have critical information for agent Bauer only to have him bail on you a second before the call goes through), and simple impossibilites.

Come on. Conquering a hard heroin addiction within a couple of hours?

It's good television and some people will enjoy it more than others. It's great if you like that sort of nail-biting "what's gonna happen next?" sort of feeling. But I've personally had my fill.
