25 dead in Hurricane Isabella

I just don't get it, people had a warning far before hand that a Hurricane is coming but how do 25 people die. Were they elderly people or just some dumbasses thinking it would be cool to have a Hurricane party and go outside at it's worse. If thats the case, some people just deserved it.

What's your opinions?

No way, it was actually pretty tame unless you lived right on a coastline or near a large body of water. But I suppose flash flooding could've been responsible for many of these deaths.

All it takes is something to slam through the window of your house and hit you. You don't have to be outside.

ya, but the point is. To evacuate the area of the hurricane. you know it could kill you so why not go away?

it's different when it's a tornadoe, you have to go inside cuz u have little notification of one touching down. but a hurricane develops weeks before hand.

Your talking about most of the eastern seaboard to evacuate. THAT is just insane. There is no way for that many people to leave just to avoid a hurricane.

i just got power back from isabella, and i can tell you what its really like. First of all, it wasnt something to evacuate from unless you live right by the boardwalk at the beach, or directly in the path of the eye. The damage it did was minimal where i live: Virginia Beach, the most Southeastern city in Virginian. It consisted of fallen trees, and a few missing shingles.
The deaths were mostly motorists. The only one ive heard of that seems to have died because he was stupid was a man who was riding his motorcycle on the highway because of it. A few also died from stepping on fallen power lines.

Wow, those are some pretty crazy pictures. It's funny how they have a rather fake appearance, though. They're just so clear.

I understand that.

I was merely stating that, had one not known better, they could easily be looked at as being fake. They almost have this scale model appearance to them. It's really bizarre.
