My friend just bought a Radeon9800XT 256Mb/Bit and he'll get it tomorrow probably.. anyway my question is, should I buy it as well? or I should save another 50$ and buy a G6800?

is it an ATi Radeon 9800xt? or is it an Asus Radeon A9800xt? becuase that's an amazing freakin card! I have one in my machine and it rocks, can run any game at high settings :D I'd say the 9800Xt, but for 50 dollars more? how much performance boost will you get for that 50? plus tazes ;) lol

the 6800 looks good too. if you can get one for the same price/less, then i'd go for it. but the 9800 xt is just an overclocked 9800 pro i think, so you could save some moolah by buying a r9800 pro 256 mb and overclocking it... :D

oldfaq: I think its a Sapphire :)

WaryWolf: And what if I'll buy a R9800XT and OC it?? ;)

you can overclock the XT it's awsoem, mine came with software to do it :D I'm personally a fan of ATi now since Nvidia messed up the FX series BADLY :)

Well... I was mistaken.. its a R9600XT not 9800... sorry ^^"
Anyway I think I'll get a G6800... or a G6800GT.. or even a x800Pro :P

I would go for a 6800GT over an X800Pro, with the GT you're almost guarenteed Ultra speeds, with the Pro though you're not guarenteed it'll mod in an X800XT (plus in order to perform the mod it means actually physically scratching the core). The X800 Pro is also more expensive than the 6800GT depending on where you go.

Either get a 6800 or 6800GT. The 6800GT is much better than an X800 pro. I would really go for the 6800GT, best bang for you buck in the new cards.

the X800Pro can easily achieve XTPE speeds, also the X800Pro to XT mod doesn't involve scratching the GPU not is it THAT dangerous (seriously you sound like a f**kin retard through out your post) as for your last comment, the same thing can be said vice versa. if i would have heard you putting up your arguement in person i would have hit you just for sounding so stupid. 6800GT is better then the X800 Pro.... at least until Half Life 2 comes out.... and i dont know about you but this looks like a Half Life 2 forum...::cough:: you morons ::cough::..ahem i thinkg im getting a cold.

I'm afraid your fanboi'ism actually makes you sound like the retard.

Have you actually seen the source benchmarks??? The 6800GT out performs the X800 Pro at stock speeds.

Jesus get a grip, graphics cards aren't everything, I'm just talking about the general consensus among many different party's.

Really, people like you shouldn't be even let near computers,

if i would have heard you putting up your argument in person i would have hit you just for sounding so stupid

I laugh at your "e-toughness", you freaking idiot. Did you just get out of kindergarten by any chance?

I insulted your favourite graphics card company? Oh I'm sorry, going to go cry to mommy?

Go with the 9800 pro. It's the best bang for you buck. it costs about 200$ and will run everything on hl2/doom on high (except for aa/af).

Also, if you want the 9800 xt, try to get hl2 free with it. That alone is 50$. And why i suggest it over the reg. 6800. For the most part, they seem to benchmark the same. (the 6800 seems to do alittle better, but it's 50$ more too)

Thank u all for ur suggestions! :)
I'm considering on buying a G6800.. and maybe..maybe! a G6800GT :P
