this games been out for a couple of days now on steam, and i copmleted it today.

i have to say, its quite fun. takes about 30 - 60 mins to complete, and it can be rather challenging at places. its actually really well done (except theres no AI- just a literally horizontal line of sight for enimies) and the animations are really smooth. It feeels really fun to play tbh, although there are only actually 5 enemies (headcrab, zombie, combine soildier, gun turret and little buzzy robot thing) plus 2 bosses. There are 6 levels, each taking about 10 mins to complete. You get to meet a scientist, alyx and her dad, a wounded barney and

, although none of them actually say anything relevant nor important and the last one i mentioned is actually just taking the piss.

You get four weapons: the crowbar (yay) the pistol, the machine gun (shown in HL2 vids- cant remember the name) and the manipulator. The manipulator is crap though, as you can pick up 2 things- barrels and crates. i thought you might be able to throw Headcrabs at combines, but i was wrong

The faults: you cant save. i thoight this was shit at first, but when you realise how short it is you dont need to save.
You get limited guns and its very short. Mind you, its fun while it lasts
You cant pause!!! nooo!!!!

The pros: Its ****ing fun while it lasts
Hard mode will be challenging
nostalgic moments
looks great
it involves the words "half life" and "playable" in the same sentence
its free!!

It's fun until you die on the last boss and have to start over.

It's also very entertaing for the short time it lasted. Something to do while you wait for the real HL 2.

You can pick up:

Barrels, Crates, Radiators and the man hacks.

There might be more. I didnt finish it to be honest. I couldnt face doing everything again once I died. :0

It got really boring, and annoying, because the aiming system always started to lag at the Buggy scene. It was ridiculous, I could have started to cry. I couldn't destroy the gunship, it was scientifically impossible...so I did some scientifical research and came to a conclusion to remove the game

the game is pathetically easy on normal mode UP TO the last boss, where it suddenly becomes impossible i didnt find anything wrong with the aiming system, and tbh, its only a freebe thats got 15 mins of gameplay so its not the end of the world if there are a few bugs...

I found the entire thing easy...I was like 5th person to get onto the online scoreboard. I was quite suprised.

I think it would be cool for the producers to make a GBA game similar to Codename: Gordon. Of course with ALOT more content. That would work almost perfectly.
